Frequently Asked Questions

What makes STAEDTLER DRY SAFE technology unique?
DRY SAFE ink forms a protective microscopic barrier on the tip when left open, preventing evaporation so the pen can be left uncapped for days without drying out.

Are these markers suitable for outdoor or weather-exposed labeling?
Yes. Lumocolor permanent ink is waterproof and lightfast on non-porous materials like plastic plant tags, metal bins, and outdoor glass.

Can the markings be removed from non-porous surfaces?
Markings are permanent under normal conditions and waterproof, but can be removed from smooth surfaces using isopropyl alcohol or ethanol if needed.
