• Newly Designed Low-Level Feeder: Innovative breather port placement near the bottom of the feed lets you draw bottled ink from the converter even with minimal ink remaining at the bottom of the bottle.
• Lightweight Anodized Aluminum Body: High-grade matte anodized aluminum construction provides excellent scratch resistance and drop durability while keeping overall weight comfortably balanced at around 23 grams.
• Deep Sea Blue Matte Finish: Understated metallic navy finish with rhodium-plated trim, offering a refined, non-slip tactile feel suitable for both professional and creative settings.

Frequently Asked Questions

What is the benefit of the Slip & Seal mechanism on the Procyon?

Platinum's proprietary Slip & Seal mechanism incorporates an internal airtight spring-loaded inner cap. Unlike conventional screw caps that slowly evaporate ink, this system preserves ink hydration, allowing the pen to start cleanly on the first stroke even after a full year of sitting idle.

How does the pentagon-shaped nib feel compared to standard steel nibs?

The pentagonal profile gives the stainless steel nib a distinct flex profile with enhanced resilience. It provides a cushioned, responsive bounce under normal writing pressure, closely mimicking the softness and flow control traditionally associated with 14k gold nibs.

How does the Procyon feed help with low ink bottles?

Platinum redesigned the nib core feed so the ink intake channel is located lower down the nib section. This allows you to refill the pen by dipping only the very tip into an ink bottle, without needing to submerge the entire grip section into deep ink.

Does the pen come with a converter or ink cartridges?

The Platinum Procyon uses Platinum's proprietary cartridge and converter standard. It comes packaged with a Platinum ink cartridge and can be paired with any genuine Platinum converter for bottled ink use.
