Pentel Orenznero PP3005 Automatic Mechanical Pencil

Pentel Orenznero PP3005 Automatic Mechanical Pencil

The Pentel Orenznero PP3005 represents the pinnacle of Japanese mechanical pencil engineering. Designed as the flagship model of the renowned Orenz series, the Orenznero seamlessly combines an automatic lead-advancing mechanism with Pentel's proprietary sliding guide pipe technology. With a single click before you begin, the internal clutch automatically feeds new lead every time the pencil lifts from the paper, allowing you to write, sketch, or draft continuously without interruption. Engineered with an innovative metal-resin composite barrel, its 12-sided matte black faceted body provides exceptional tactile balance, ergonomic grip stability, and a deliberate low center of gravity that reduces hand fatigue during demanding creative sessions.

Key Features

• Continuous Automatic Lead Feed: Click once to engage; the internal mechanical clutch automatically advances the graphite every time you lift the tip from the page until the lead is completely finished.
• Zero-Breakage Sliding Sleeve: The precision-machined guide pipe retracts synchronously as you write, constantly shielding ultra-fine lead from snapping under heavy pressure while maintaining smooth page contact.
• Low Center-of-Gravity Balance: Crafted from a specialized iron-and-resin composite material that delivers substantial heft, high structural rigidity, and optimal forward balance for effortless precision.
• Ergonomic 12-Sided Faceted Grip: Matte black polygon barrel ensures non-slip control, preventing the pencil from rolling on tilted drafting tables while providing natural finger placement.
• Versatile Fine-Line Architecture: Built to accommodate ultra-fine drafting and technical writing requirements across 0.2mm, 0.3mm, and 0.5mm lead diameters in HB and 2B grades.

Frequently Asked Questions

Q: How does the automatic lead advance system work?
A: You only need to click the push-button once before writing. The sprung guide pipe retracts as the lead wears down, and whenever the tip lifts off the paper, the internal mechanism automatically draws out the next segment of lead. You never need to click again while writing.

Q: Should the lead stick out past the metal sleeve?
A: No. Unlike traditional mechanical pencils, the Orenznero is designed so that the lead remains level with or just barely inside the rounded metal guide pipe. The smooth sleeve glides over the paper surface, shielding the lead from snapping even under firm writing pressure.

Q: Can I use 2B or softer leads in the Orenznero?
A: Yes, both HB and 2B high-polymer leads work exceptionally well. High-purity leads like Pentel Ain Stein provide dark, smooth lines without jamming the internal clutch.

Q: What is the store's customer service and order cancellation policy?
