Pentel Kerry 0.5mm Capped Mechanical Pencil

Executive Pocket Elegance Meets Precision Drafting Engineering

First designed in Japan in 1971 under the concept of the "Mannen-CIL" (fountain-pen pencil), the Pentel Kerry stands in a class of its own. It bridges the gap between classic luxury writing instruments and high-performance drafting mechanics. Featuring a protective removable cap with a distinct grooved metal center grid, the Kerry protects delicate pockets and pencil tips while offering a compact travel profile. When posted, an ingenious internal clutch links the cap button directly to the pencil mechanism, letting you advance the 0.5mm lead effortlessly with a crisp, tactile click.

Key Features

• Engineered Postable Cap Mechanism: Innovative internal coupling allows full lead advancement whether clicked uncapped or posted on the barrel.
• Pocket-Safe & Balanced Architecture: Capping shields the 0.5mm fixed lead sleeve from drops and pocket snagging, while posting extends the body to a perfectly balanced full-length writing instrument.
• Knurled Metal Accent Grid: Solid metallic center band provides textured finger indexing, solid chassis rigidity, and distinguished executive aesthetics.
• Consistent 0.5mm Line Width: Brass 3-jaw chuck mechanism feeds standard 0.5mm graphite leads smoothly without slippage or premature breakage during intensive notes or sketching.
• Integrated Concealed Eraser: Built-in refillable eraser protected under the push-button cap keeps corrections immediate and discreet.

Frequently Asked Questions

Q: How does the lead advance when the cap is posted?
A: The cap incorporates a specialized mechanical link that transfers pressure directly to the inner brass clicker, allowing you to advance the lead seamlessly without removing the cap.

Q: What size lead and replacement erasers does this pencil use?
A: The Kerry accepts all standard 0.5mm mechanical pencil leads (such as Pentel Ain Stein) and uses standard Pentel Z2-1N replacement erasers located under the removable button.

Q: Can I use this pencil comfortably without posting the cap?
A: Yes. While posting creates ideal weight balance for extended writing, the uncapped pencil can be clicked and written with independently for quick notes.

Q: What is the store's customer service and order cancellation policy?
A: Inquiries are handled post-purchase by our team at szjyf@outlook.com. Full refunds are available anytime before shipment is confirmed.
